General Caesar of Ancient Rome
History:
Gaius Juilius Caesar was initially a priest, though he was stripped of that title by a rival of his uncle, and soon went into hiding. After joining the army, he rose through the ranks and eventually returned home where he became a legal advocate, and then began a long political career as a governor and a general. A civil war within the Roman Senate would result in Caesar being named dictator. Caesar became associated with many other historical figures, including Cleopatra and Marc Antony, before eventually being assassinated.
